Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat approved: The Ministry of Railways has given approval for a new Vande Bharat Express train service connecting Gujarat with Rajasthan. This new semi-high speed train will run between Surat and Udaipur. The train will be maintained and operated by the Western Railway (WR) zone.

In a letter dated August 31 addressed to the General Managers (Operating) of Western Railway and North Western Railway, the Railway Board stated that it has approved the introduction of the 26903/26904 Surat-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express.

Indian Railways to discontinue one Vande Bharat train

The Railway Board also approved the discontinuation of train numbers 26963/26964 Udaipur City-Asarva Vande Bharat Express. The Udaipur City-Asarva (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express was introduced in February 2026. At present, the train operates six days a week, except Tuesdays.

Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat train: Distance, Travel time

The Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of around 690 km in 07:30 hrs. It can run up to a maximum speed of 160 kmph.

Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express: Stoppages, Frequency

The Surat-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express train will run six days a week except Tuesday. During its journey between Surat and Udaipur City, the train will halt at nine railway stations. These are: Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Maninagar, Asarva, Himmatnagar, Shamlaji Road, Dungarpur and Zawar.

Surat-Udaipur City Vande Bharat: Coach composition, Timings

The Surat-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express will have an 8-car coach composition. Train number 26903 will depart from Surat at 06:10 hrs and reach Udaipur City at 13:40 hrs. In the return direction, train number 26904 will depart from Udaipur City at 15:35 hrs and arrive at Surat at 23:00 hrs.
