  Telangana HC reserves order on modifying order for action against erring police officers at Assembly

  Justice T. Madhavi Devi of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) reserved orders in an interim application seeking modification of the order directing the police chief to take action against the ‘erring police officials’ who prevented Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislators from entering the Assembly the previous day.

  Over 20 BRS members suspended from Telangana Assembly

  Over 20 members of the main Opposition Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) were suspended from the Telangana Assembly for the rest of the monsoon session.

  The Minister moved the motion amid din created by the BRS members who thronged the Speaker’s Podium raising slogans “we want justice”.

  BRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao, its MLAs K.T. Rama Rao, G. Jagdishwar Reddy, P. Kaushik Reddy, Anil Kumar Jadhav, Kova Lakshmi, P. Sabita Indra Reddy, Sunita Lakshma Reddy, Ch. Prabhkar, K. Prabhakar Reddy, K.P. Vivekananda, T. Srinivas Yadav and K. Manik Rao were among those suspended from the House for the remainder of the session.
