Western Railway revises suburban timetable from September 1

Western Railway (WR) will introduce a revised suburban timetable from September 1, 2026, with six new services, direct connectivity between Dadar and Dahanu Road, two additional air-conditioned (AC) services and changes to the routes and stopping patterns of several existing trains.

According to Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, Shri Vineet Abhishek, WR will continue to operate a total of 1,414 suburban services under the revised timetable. Six new services — two in the UP direction and four in the DOWN direction — will be introduced, while six existing services will be withdrawn.

The number of AC services on weekdays will increase from 145 to 147, while 116 AC services will operate on Saturdays and Sundays.

Among the new UP slow services are Train No. 90400 Bandra-Churchgate, which will depart Bandra at 11.58 hrs and reach Churchgate at 12.30 hrs, and Train No. 91020 Virar-Borivali, departing Virar at 23.51 hrs and reaching Borivali at 00.26 hrs.

As part of the revision, two UP and four DOWN existing services will be withdrawn. These include Train Nos. 94138 (AC) and 90540 Borivali-Churchgate, as well as Train No. 94137 (AC) Churchgate-Borivali, Train No. 90359 Churchgate-Mumbai Central (Local), Train No. 90483 Churchgate-Borivali and Train No. 90911 Churchgate-Mumbai Central (Local).

A significant change will be the introduction of direct Dadar-Dahanu Road connectivity. The existing Train No. 90677 Dadar-Virar and Train No. 93033 Virar-Dahanu Road will be integrated into a through service. The revised Train No. 93033 will depart Dadar at 17.22 hrs and reach Dahanu Road at 19.30 hrs.

Train No. 92046 Virar-Dadar, departing Virar at 08.23 hrs, will be extended to Churchgate as Train No. 92056, reaching Churchgate at 09.48 hrs. The existing Train No. 92069 Dadar-Virar will be revised as Train No. 92083, originating from Churchgate at 09.52 hrs and operating up to Nallasopara.

Two existing non-AC services will be converted into AC services. Train No. 90693 Churchgate-Borivali, departing Churchgate at 17.28 hrs, will operate as AC Train No. 94105, while Train No. 90758 Borivali-Churchgate, departing Borivali at 18.24 hrs, will operate as AC Train No. 94110. Their routes and timings will remain unchanged.

There will also be changes in the stopping pattern of some services. Churchgate-Virar fast Train Nos. 94113 (AC) and 90791, departing Churchgate at 18.22 hrs and 19.05 hrs, respectively, will skip Borivali.

The existing Train No. 94029 Churchgate-Borivali AC slow service, departing Churchgate at 10.24 hrs, will terminate at Goregaon and operate as Train No. 94045 Churchgate-Goregaon AC slow service.

In the return direction, Train No. 94040 Borivali-Churchgate AC slow service will instead originate from Goregaon at 11.39 hrs and operate as Train No. 94060 Goregaon-Churchgate AC slow service.

The revised timetable also includes selected changes during non-peak hours in originating and terminating stations, slow and fast operations, extensions and stopping patterns of certain other services as part of operational optimisation.

Western Railway has advised passengers to take note of the revised timings, services and stopping patterns and plan their journeys accordingly.
