Naidu came out of APSSDC case without a stain, says Atchannaidu three years after arrest

Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) claimed that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had won the battle for justice without any stain on his character, saying the court and government agencies had granted him a ‘clean chit’ in the alleged A.P. State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) scam case.
Wednesday marks three years since Mr. Naidu’s arrest in connection with the alleged ₹371 crore APSSDC scam. He was released on bail after 53 days in the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison.
Addressing the gathering in the presence of Mr. Naidu, Mr. Atchannaidu said: “In 2023, the then government led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy arrested Mr. Naidu with claims of a financial scam in the APSSDC. However, Mr. Naidu had spent 53 days in jail and was released with a clean chit given by the court.”
“Mr. Naidu won the battle against injustice and came out without any stain on his conduct and character during his tenure as Chief Minister between 2014 and 2019. The party that is led by Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy should not exist in Andhra Pradesh and people should realise that it should not be voted again,” he said.

“We have dared to punish ourselves if Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy shows any evidence that proves the occurrence of the APSSDC scandal or diversion of funds from the APSSDC. He could not prove anything in the APSSDC case,” he said.
Mr. Atchannaidu said people should rethink and strive to ensure that the YSRCP was not voted to power again.
