Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals, a leading eye care network with 90-plus facilities across the country, opened its second hospital at Poranki in Vijayawada on Saturday (September 26, 2026). Minister of Mines and Excise Kollu Ravindra inaugurated the hospital.

The hospital offers a comprehensive range of eye care services, catering to conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, retina-related disorders, refractive surgery, paediatric eye care, and other vision-related concerns. Patients will have access to consultations, diagnostic investigations, and surgical procedures across various ophthalmic specialties, supported by experienced clinical teams and modern technology, a press release said. 

Dr. G.S.K. Velu, chairman, Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals (MSSEH), said Vijayawada has been an important region for the hospital and it would provide quality eye care services through experienced doctors, best in class technology, and a strong clinical approach. 

Dr. K.P. Reddy, Chief Mentor of MSSEH, said Maxivision was the first hospital to introduce Lasik in Andhra Pradesh.
