Canara Bank revises ATM charges from September 1

Canara Bank has revised certain automated teller machine (ATM) transaction charges with effect from September 1, 2026.Check latest ree ATM transactions limit, charges for financial transactions beyond the free limit and fee for transactions that are declined due to insufficient funds.

Canara Bank has revised certain automated teller machine (ATM) transaction charges with effect from September 1, 2026. The bank has reduced the number of free ATM transactions allowed each month for its savings bank account holders. The bank has also increased the fee for transactions that are declined due to insufficient funds, as well as charges for financial transactions beyond the free limit. However, the free transaction limit for senior citizens remains unchanged.



How much more do Canara Bank customers need to pay now?

The bank has reduced free transactions in a calendar month, including financial and non-financial transactions, applicable only to savings bank account holders, from six to five.



However, for senior citizens, the limit remains unchanged at eight free transactions.




Charges above free transactions for non-financial transactions are unchanged at Rs 5+GST, done in Canara ATMs.



Charges for financial transactions beyond free limit increased

The bank has increased the charge for financial transactions beyond the free limit. The fee for cash withdrawal, including ICCW (UPI cash withdrawal), at Canara Bank ATMs has been increased from Rs 20 plus GST to Rs 23 plus GST.



Higher charges for insufficient funds in Canara Bank customer’s account



Canara Bank has also increased the charge for transactions that fail due to insufficient funds in a customer's account, beyond the free transaction limit.



The charge has been increased from Rs 17 plus GST to Rs 23 plus GST for transactions carried out at Canara Bank and other bank ATMs.



Service charges related to Canara Bank ATM

The following service charges will be levied for transactions done in Canara ATMs, cash recyclers beyond free transactions (other than for cash deposit transactions), subject to changes from time to time:

Canara Bank charges for regeneration of green PIN reduced

Canara Bank has reduced charges for the regeneration of the green PIN beyond the free transactions limit from Rs 23 to Rs 5 for card variants such as Classic, Standard, Platinum, Business, Select, and World cards.
