Andhra leaders greet Modi at 76; Naidu in Varanasi to mark PM’s 25 years in office

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday (September 17, 2026) greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday. The BJP is marking the day with a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan‘ for his 25 years in elected office, and Mr. Naidu, who is also 76, is in Varanasi for its launch.
“As India’s longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister, your leadership has been truly historic,” Mr. Naidu wrote on X. “Your vision of Seva, Sankalp, and Sushasan continues to inspire 140 crore citizens across the nation.” He prayed that Lord Venkateswara bless Mr. Modi with a long life “in service to Bharat”.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan posted a video on the platform and wrote at length, from Mr. Modi’s start “from a small house in Vadnagar” to Operation Sindoor and UPI. He thanked him for Amaravati, Polavaram, Bhogapuram airport and the Visakhapatnam corridor: “The support extended by you to Andhra Pradesh is truly invaluable and beyond measure.” And he set the tone for the Abhiyan, which runs till October 17: “Your life is a reminder that public service demands sacrifice, perseverance and an unwavering commitment to the Nation.”

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister, kept it to two lines: “May God bless him with good health, long life and the strength to serve the nation.”
