Lucky draw for flats in Indiramma Housing towers in four constituencies starts on Friday (August 28)

The draw of lots to select beneficiaries of flats in Indiramma Housing towers in Hyderabad (CURE) was held in four out of 16 Assembly constituencies on Friday (August 28). A large number of people turned up for the event hoping that they will get a shot at owning the spanking new home.
I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy participated in the draw of lots in Mailardevpally. Sharing the news, the Minister took to social media: “In the lucky draw held in Lakshmiguda for the Mailardevpally area under the Rajendranagar constituency, the token was drawn by a little child, and the house was awarded to that child’s own family. This government’s resolve to fulfil the dream of the poor having their own homes seems to have been blessed by divine grace, as the token went to their family (Ms. Lakshmi Jarapala) in the lucky draw conducted by the little one, filling all of us with joy and astonishment.”
The draws are spread over four days, August 28-31, with the draws in four constituencies each day.
On Friday, the draw of lots were held in Qutbullapur; Secunderabad Cantonment; Rajendranagar and Nampally Assembly constituencies.
It would be held in Khairatabad; Kukatpally; Amberpet and Bahadurpura constituencies on Saturday (August 29).
Messages will be sent to applicants selected in the draws and the list would be uploaded online.
The government provides a subsidy of ₹5 lakh and people have to contribute ₹6 lakh for each flat. One family would be allotted only one flat. The ₹6 lakh has to be paid in four instalments, with the first instalment of ₹1 lakh after provisional allotment.
The draw of lots was streamed live, whose links were provided on the website of Telangana Housing Board, and on its Instagram and Facebook handles.
