Fans of Dutton Ranch are waiting for one big answer after the Season 1 finale: When will Season 2 arrive on Paramount+? The Yellowstone spin-off has officially been renewed, with Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser set to return as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. However, fans will have to wait a little longer for the next chapter.

When is Dutton Ranch Season 2 coming?

There is no official release date for Dutton Ranch Season 2 yet. Paramount+ has confirmed that the series will return, but production is not expected to begin until early 2027. That makes a 2026 premiere unlikely, while a release sometime in 2027 is possible, although Paramount+ has not confirmed a specific month or date.

Kelly Reilly previously indicated that the upcoming months would focus on developing the scripts before filming gets underway.

Beth and Rip are returning

The biggest news for fans is that Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will return as Beth and Rip. Their relationship remains central to the series, and Season 2 is expected to pick up from the major problems they faced at the end of the first season.

Season 1 ended with Beth and Rip facing a major crisis after discovering that Carter had been kidnapped by the cartel.

Other returning cast members include Finn Little as Carter, Ed Harris as Everett McKinney, Annette Bening as Beulah Jackson and Juan Pablo Raba as Joaquin. Benjamin Cavell will also take over as showrunner for Season 2.

What happened in the Season 1 finale?

Season 1 ended with Beth and Rip facing a major crisis after discovering that Carter had been kidnapped by the cartel. That revelation gives the couple a powerful reason to fight back in Season 2 as they try to bring Carter home.

The finale also saw Rob-Will, played by Jai Courtney, killed, leaving Beulah and Oreana to deal with the aftermath. Joaquin's complicated family situation also remains unresolved.

The ending left several storylines open, giving Season 2 plenty to explore.

What could happen next?

The biggest question heading into Season 2 is whether Beth and Rip can rescue Carter and take on the forces responsible for his kidnapping. The cartel conflict could become even more dangerous, while the future of the 10 Petal Ranch remains uncertain.
