EAGLE signs MoU with IRCS to check drug abuse in Andhra Pradesh

The Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) to check drugs and ganja in the State.

Head of EAGLE and Inspector-General of Police Ake Ravi Krishna and IRCS chairman Y.D. Rama Rao signed the MoU at the EAGLE headquarters on Friday.

Superintendents of Police K.M. Maheswara Raju and G. Swaroopa Rani, IRCS secretary and CEO A.K. Parida and others participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravi Krishna said the MoU would help check drugs and ganja at the village level, and thanked the IRCS for its support.

Mr. Rama Rao said the IRCS volunteers would join the EAGLE teams in creating awareness among the students in schools and colleges against drug abuse.

“IRCS has wide network at the village level and will extend all help to the EAGLE officials to check ganja menace,” Mr. Rama Rao said. Mr. Ravi Krishna explained the programmes being taken up by EAGLE to check drug abuse.
