Delhi-NCR weather forecast August 25: Delhi-NCR is likely to see rain, thunderstorms and lightning on August 25, with New Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad among the areas covered by the IMD forecast. Light rain is expected at many places, while moderate rain may occur at isolated locations before weather turns warmer and drier from August 26.
PTIDelhi-NCR is likely to see another spell of rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday, August 25, after moderate rain lashed several parts of the capital on Monday. The India Meteorological Department has forecast very light to light rain at many places and moderate rain at isolated places during the morning to noon, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
The weather system is also expected to bring another spell of light rain from afternoon to evening, while temperatures are likely to rise compared with Monday. The IMD forecast covers Delhi as well as nearby NCR areas including Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad.
Delhi-NCR weather today: Rain and thunderstorms likely
According to the IMD's August 24 bulletin, Delhi is expected to remain generally cloudy on August 25. Very light to light rain is likely at many places, while isolated areas could receive moderate rain along with thunderstorm and lightning activity during the morning to noon period.
Another spell of very light to light rain is possible during the afternoon to evening. The forecast indicates maximum temperature of 34°C to 36°C and minimum temperature of 25°C to 27°C for the day.
The capital recorded moderate rain at many places with heavy rain at isolated locations on Monday. At Safdarjung, the maximum temperature was 32.3°C, while the minimum was 27.8°C. The station recorded 34.6 mm of rain between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Monday.
New Delhi weather: Cloudy skies, rain and lightning
New Delhi is among the Delhi districts covered by the IMD's forecast for August 25. The area is likely to see generally cloudy conditions, with light rain possible at many places and moderate rain at isolated locations.
Thunderstorms and lightning are expected mainly during the morning to noon period, followed by another possibility of light rain during the afternoon and evening.
The IMD's current Delhi-NCR forecast also shows continued unsettled conditions in the region, with rain activity possible on August 25.
Noida weather today: Rain and thunderstorms likely
Noida is also expected to experience cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorm activity on Tuesday. The IMD's district-wise forecast lists Noida among the NCR areas likely to see light rain at many places and moderate rain at isolated locations.
Residents can also expect lightning and thunderstorms during the morning to noon period, followed by a possibility of another light rain spell later in the day.
Gurgaon weather today: Rain forecast with thunderstorms
Gurgaon, listed as Gurugram in official weather forecasts, is also likely to remain cloudy on August 25. The forecast indicates light rain at many places, with moderate rain possible at isolated locations.
Thunderstorm and lightning activity could occur during the morning to noon period, while another spell of light rain is possible between afternoon and evening.

Faridabad weather today: Light to moderate rain likely
Faridabad is expected to follow a similar weather pattern, with generally cloudy skies and rain activity on Tuesday. The IMD forecast points to light rain at many places and moderate rain at isolated locations.
Thunderstorms and lightning are also possible during the morning to noon period.
Ghaziabad weather today: Cloudy skies and rain expected
Ghaziabad is also likely to remain under cloudy skies on August 25. The district-wise forecast indicates light rain at many places and moderate rain at isolated locations, along with thunderstorm and lightning activity during the morning to noon period.
Another spell of light rain could occur during the afternoon to evening.
Delhi-NCR weather forecast after August 25
The wet spell is expected to ease after Tuesday. The IMD forecast indicates no rain for August 26 to August 30, with partly cloudy skies expected across Delhi during this period. Maximum temperatures could rise to 35°C to 37°C from August 26 onwards.
This means Delhi-NCR could see a quick transition from Tuesday's rain and thunderstorms to warmer and mostly dry conditions over the following days.
Monday's rainfall had already brought down Delhi's maximum temperature below normal. However, with rain expected to become less frequent after August 25, temperatures are likely to climb again towards the latter part of the week.
