“Amrut Kalash Rally” Organized by Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation, Ward Committee ‘C’ Chandansar

Vasai-Virar : Today, on September 27, 2023, under the aegis of the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation, Ward Committee ‘C,’ a unique event titled “Mazhi Mati Mazha Desh” was organized as part of the celebrations of the Amrut Mahotsav of India’s independence. The event, known as the “Amrut Kalash Rally,” commenced from the Ward Committee ‘C’ office, leading a procession up to Varadvinayak Lane, adorned with a beautifully decorated palanquin.

The rally saw enthusiastic participation from citizens who came together to contribute soil and rice towards this symbolic celebration. In attendance were the nodal officer for the campaign and Deputy Commissioner, Mrs. Nayan Sasane, as well as Mr. Ajay Chaukekar, Deputy Commissioner of Ward Committee ‘C,’ along with all the officials and staff of Ward Committee ‘C.’ Additionally, 100 students from Shree Shantidham Vidya Mandir School, led by the school’s principal, Mrs. Madhavi Vartak, and honored teachers, participated in the rally. Eminent local leaders, including Mr. Vilas Bandhu Chorghade, Mr. Sudesh Chaudhari, Mrs. Mamta Suman, Mrs. Putul Jha, Mr. Jaheer Sheikh, Mr. Jitendra Satpalakar, Mr. Altaf Sheikh, Mr. Ajay Pimpale, Mr. Mahesh Kadam, Mr. Atul Sawant Bhosale, and Mr. Rahul Pawar, graced the occasion with their presence.

The event received wholehearted support from various environmentalists and ambassadors, notably Mr. Umesh Gupta and Mrs. Neha Kothari. The collective enthusiasm and participation of everyone involved created an atmosphere of pride and unity under the banner of “Mazhi Mati Mazha Desh.”

Furthermore, on October 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a grand cleanliness drive titled “One Date, One Hour” is scheduled to take place. All are encouraged to participate wholeheartedly in this initiative, which aims to make a significant impact on cleanliness in the community.
