Centre putting Gandhiji’s cleanliness message into action: Bandi Sanjay

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has said the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre was taking Mahatma Gandhi’s message of cleanliness to villages and towns across the country through various initiatives.
Speaking after garlanding Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Jammikunta of Karimnagar district on Gandhi Jayanti on Friday, Mr. Sanjay said the Centre was working to make cities garbage-free and villages cleaner through the Swachh Bharat and Swachh Survekshan initiatives in a mission mode.
“Mahatma Gandhi was opposed to dynastic politics and corruption,” Mr. Sanjay said, alleging that some political parties invoked Gandhiji’s name for political interests while pursuing dynastic politics.
Truth, righteousness and justice were among Gandhiji’s guiding principles, he said, accusing the Congress of promoting dynastic politics in violation of those principles.
Mr. Sanjay also alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was trying to divert public attention instead of implementing the six poll guarantees.
