Can Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary survive the simmering BJP-RSS dissatisfaction?
Internal discontent within the BJP-RSS framework is reportedly growing over Samrat Choudhary’s leadership in Bihar. The state unit is increasingly seen as divided into rival factions, with detractors questioning the Chief Minister’s political temperament, sensitivity and leadership style.
Party insiders have described Choudhary, viewed by some traditional cadres as a “parachuted CM” following the transition from former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, as a potential challenge to the party’s objective of securing a standalone majority in the Assembly. As ideological groups and rival camps push back, the internal churn is creating challenges for Choudhary’s leadership and the party’s longer-term roadmap.
