Air India has teamed up with IHG Hotels & Resorts, providing an exciting opportunity for Maharaja Club members to earn points during IHG stays globally. Moreover, IHG One Rewards members can seamlessly convert their points into Maharaja points.

Air India and IHG Hotels & Resorts have joined hands to give their loyalty programme members more ways to earn and use reward points while travelling. Under the new partnership, Air India’s Maharaja Club members can earn Maharaja points on eligible stays at IHG hotels worldwide, while IHG One Rewards members can convert their points into Maharaja points.



The partnership combines IHG’s portfolio of more than 7,100 hotels across 100+ countries with Air India’s network across India and five continents, giving members more options to earn and use rewards while travelling.

How to earn Air India’s Maharaja Club points through stays at IHG Hotels & Resorts worldwide?

Air India's Maharaja Club members can earn Maharaja Points by staying at IHG Hotels & Resorts worldwide. Members will get two Maharaja points for every dollar spent at most IHG Hotels and Resorts, while stays at Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, IHG Residences and IHG Army Hotels will earn one Maharaja point.

Can Air India’s Maharaja Club members convert their IHG One reward points into Maharaja points?

Maharaja Club members will also have the flexibility to convert their IHG One reward points into Maharaja [oints, with 1,000 IHG One reward points exchangeable for 200 Maharaja points. The minimum exchange threshold is 1,000 IHG One reward points, giving members flexibility in how they use their loyalty rewards towards future travel.



Special launch offer for Air India’s Maharaja Club members



As a debut offer, Maharaja Club members can earn 3x Maharaja points on qualifying stays between September 15 and December 31, 2026, with no blackout dates. To profit from the deal, Maharaja Club members must first register for the programme.

Who can become a member of Air India’s Maharaja Club?

Membership of Air India’s Maharaja Club is open to individuals only. Please note that organisations, small businesses, travel agents and other commercial entities are not eligible for Maharaja Club membership, as per Air India’s frequently asked questions (FAQs) available on its website.

Is there an enrolment fee for Air India’s Maharaja Club membership?

No, Maharaja Club membership is complimentary. You do not need to pay any enrolment or annual membership fee.

Is Air India Maharaja Club membership only for residents of India?

Will my Maharaja Club membership expire if I don’t actively use it?

No. Your Maharaja Club membership will not expire, even if your account remains inactive.



However:



Maharaja points have a default validity of two years.



This validity is automatically extended every time you fly on an eligible Air India or Air India Express flight (excluding Award Flights).



The validity extension does not apply to codeshare, interline, or Star Alliance partner flights.
