Indian spirits maker Radico Khaitan has expanded its luxury whisky portfolio to four major UK airports, bringing its Rampur and Sangam brands to duty-free stores at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham as it steps up its global travel retail push.

The company said on Monday that its premium brands, including Rampur Indian Single Malt Double Cask, Rampur Asava, Rampur Barrel Blush and Sangam World Malt, are now available to international travellers across the four airports. Radico Khaitan said the move makes it the first Indian spirits company to have its brands available across these four major UK airport networks.

The expansion gives the company access to airports that collectively handled more than 170 million passengers in 2025. Heathrow recorded around 84.5 million passengers, while Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham handled approximately 42.8 million, 32.1 million and 13.7 million passengers, respectively.

The entry into the UK is significant for Radico Khaitan's global travel retail strategy as it seeks to increase the visibility of Indian luxury spirits among international consumers. The company currently has a presence across more than 65 duty-free locations globally and is targeting an expansion to over 100 locations.

“Our international ambition is not simply about increasing the number of airports in which we operate. It is about building meaningful brand presence and ensuring that Indian spirits are experienced in the right environments,” Abhishek Khaitan, managing director of Radico Khaitan, said.

The move comes as the company places greater emphasis on its premium and luxury portfolio. Its Prestige & Above segment accounted for 70.3% of its Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) value in FY26, highlighting the growing contribution of premium products to its business.

Rampur Indian Single Malt is produced at Radico Khaitan's Rampur Distillery, which was established in 1943. The company said the whisky draws on the climate of the Himalayan foothills, with its portfolio including Double Cask, Asava and Barrel Blush expressions.

Sangam World Malt adds another premium whisky label to the company's international portfolio, supporting its strategy of building a wider range of Indian luxury spirits for overseas consumers.

“There is a certain charm in taking Indian whisky to the home of Scotch whisky,” Sanjeev Banga, president of international business at Radico Khaitan, said. “We are not asking the world to choose between Scotch and Indian whisky. We are simply making sure that Indian whisky gets a seat at the table.”

Radico Khaitan's international expansion is also backed by strong recent financial performance. The company's net revenue stood at approximately Rs 6,050 crore in FY26, while IMFL volumes rose 22% to 38.3 million cases.

Radico Khaitan said its global travel retail expansion is aimed at strengthening brand visibility, encouraging trial and building recognition for Indian spirits among international travellers.
