Synopsis

Three men allegedly used a suspicious government identity card and forced their way past mall security. They were carrying a firearm when they entered Jio World Plaza in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex. A First Information Report has been registered at the BKC police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The weapon recovered during the incident has been found to be licensed, and two persons have been arrested.

Three men allegedly used a suspicious government identity card and forced their way past mall security while carrying a firearm to enter Jio World Plaza in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), police said.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the BKC police station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including provisions relating to impersonation of a public servant and unlawful entry while armed with a weapon.

Mumbai Police said the incident took place yesterday and has no connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mumbai today.
