NIA team visits Army camp amid probe into missing firearms

A three-member team from National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited the crime scene at Bolaram’s Madras Regiment in Secunderabad on Friday and met the investigators probing the disappearance of arms and detonators from the premises.
The NIA team inspected the scene and held discussions with the police personnel involved in the investigation as agencies continued to piece together how the arms went missing and who was responsible for their removal.
A field-level officer involved in the probe said the investigation had been divided among personnel and teams, with each assigned a specific task. The teams were reporting their findings to their respective higher officers as the investigation progressed.
