District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya has called upon the youth to be active participants in achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ as they play a crucial role in nation-building.

The Collector, along with Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari and Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya, inaugurated a event showcasing youth talent, organised by the District Youth Welfare Department at SVR Engineering College in Nandyal. Competitions such as folk song and dance, street play, painting and poetry writing, were conducted as part of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that youth festivals play a vital role in bringing out the hidden talent, skills, creativity, and artistic-cultural aptitude of young people. She advised the youth to build leadership qualities, self-confidence, creative thinking, and various skills alongside their academic pursuits.

She urged them to work with discipline to achieve their goals, while also taking into account the experiences and guidance of their parents and teachers.

Ms. Shabari said the primary objective of these youth festivals was to unearth the talent and skills of the youth and make them active participants in the nation’s development. She emphasised that the youth must play a pivotal role in achieving the goals of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and ‘Swarnandhra 2047’.

The MP urged them to utilise the emerging employment and self-employment opportunities as Rayalaseema moves towards development. She expressed hope that the youth would hone their skills in line with evolving technology, rise to high positions in various sectors in the future, and serve society.

Meanwhile, Allagadda MLA Akhila Priya said the youth play a crucial role in the development of the nation and society. She emphasised the need to encourage ideas, aspirations, and talent of the youth and suggested using social media for constructive activities.
