Employees’ health security is government’s priority: Bhatti

Hyderabad
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that there would be no compromise in implementing the Employees’ Health Scheme (EHS).
Addressing a high-level review meeting of the EHS Trust Board members on Sunday, he said 354 private hospitals had already been empanelled under the EHS, while some more hospitals had been included through the deemed-empanelment system. He directed officials to hold meetings with hospital management and ensure that the scheme was implemented effectively.
He also instructed officials to expedite the issuance of health cards and cautioned senior officers against treating the employee welfare scheme casually. He alleged that successive governments had failed to address employees’ problems for nearly a decade.
Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, JAD Special Chief Secretary Mahesh Dutt Ekka, Health and Medical Principal Secretary Christina, Home Department Secretary Mogita Rana, EHS CEO Hanumanthu, employee union leaders and other officials attended the meeting.
