South India Baptists Association’s Vizianagaram founder president R.S. John strongly condemned the reported comments by former Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaysai Reddy who had alleged that many people were forcibly converted to Christianity during Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime.

Addressing the media here, Mr. John said that there was no need for any Christian organisation to indulge in such activity and no organisation would work for the benefit of any particular political party.

Mr. John asked Mr. Vijaysai Reddy to apologise to the Christian community for his alleged remarks. He also added that Mr. Vijaysai Reddy had made such allegations for political mileage ahead of the launch of a new political party in the State.

Mr. John also urged Praja Shanti Party president K. A. Paul to withdraw his derogatory comments made against Opposition Leader of the AP Legislative Council Botsa Satyanarayana as the latter was a respected political leader in the State.
