Asian Games 2026 LIVE, Day 12: The athletics events ended with a bang for India on Tuesday but potentially more medals await on Day 12 of the 2026 Asian Games in shooting, archery, squash, wrestling and so on. Among the shooters will be Neeru Dhanda, who won a historic individual gold medal on Tuesday and will be back for more in the mixed team qualification and team event. India’s all-Haryana wrestling contingent will be looking to cause a medal rush similar to how the track and field athletes did on Tuesday.

The Indian women’s team will have a tricky task on hand earlier in the day, facing the might of South Korea in the compound archery semifinals. This will be followed by their bronze or gold medal matches. Around the same time, Anish Bhanwala will be in action in the men’s 25m rapid individual qualification Stage 1. The names Ronaldo and Beckham will once again fight for India as Ronaldo Singh and David Beckham take the cycling track in men’s sprint qualification. Female cyclists Sarita Kumari and Keerthy Rangaswamy Chikka will be in action in women’s keirin heats about half an hour later.

Haryana, India’s biggest wrestling nursery, provides entire Asian Games squad

At the Raipur Sports Academy in Sonepat, coach Kuldeep Singh watches from a distance as Francis Sangma of Meghalaya tries to take down Haryana’s Rohit. He would then go on and explain to Francis the right way to execute the manoeuvre. At the Chhotu Ram Stadium in Rohtak, coach Mandeep is watching Komal of Maharashtra very closely. He then shows her the right technique to hold the opponent’s leg while attacking.
