Dr. C. Krishna Rao Memorial Society, Veterinary Home, Telangana, has invited applications for its annual awards instituted in the memory of eminent livestock scientist C. Krishna Rao.

According to a press release, the awards will recognise outstanding contributions by veterinarians, scientists, extension officers, farmers and academicians in the livestock sector.

Awards will be presented in categories including best field veterinarian, best surgeon, best gynaecologist, best microbiologist/virologist, best dairy farmer, best poultry farmer, best sheep and goat farmer, best teacher of a veterinary university, best undergraduate, best postgraduate with the highest marks, and a Lifetime Achievement Award. The awards function will be held on October 13.

Applications, routed through District Veterinary Officers in all 33 districts, should be submitted to the Dr. C. Krishna Rao Memorial Society at Veterinary Home, Shantinagar, Hyderabad. The last date for submission of applications is September 30, said V. Lakshma Reddy, president of the awards committee.
