An Agniveer recruitment rally will be held in Bidar for 15 days in January 2027, with around 12,100 candidates from six districts expected to participate, said Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting recently held at her office to discuss arrangements for the recruitment rally, Ms. Sharma said the district administration, Police Department and other departments would extend necessary support to ensure the smooth conduct of the rally.

She directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements at Nehru Stadium, including bus services for candidates, medical teams, ambulances, drinking water, barricading, security, internet connectivity, electricity, fire tenders, and police deployment.

Colonel Jasveer Singh S.M. of the Army Recruiting Office, Belagavi, said between 800 and 1,000 candidates would undergo physical and medical tests every day. He said around 12,100 candidates from Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal, and Belagavi districts were expected to participate in the rally and sought the cooperation of the district administration for its successful conduct.

Zilla Panchayat CEO Gitte Madhav Vithal Rao directed officials to ensure that the stadium was cleaned and kept ready for the recruitment process.
