Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay on Monday announced full waiver of coop farm loans upto ₹75,000.

Speaking in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Vijay also announced a waiver upto ₹75,000 for loans ranging between ₹75,000 and ₹one lakh. A total of 13.34 lakh farmers will benefit from the loan waiver scheme, news agency PTI reported.

He added that despite financial constrains, his government announced an additional support of ₹953.06 crore for farmers.

The announcement comes as Vijay completes 100 days in office, marking a major milestone in the states history.
