India's Ministry of External Affairs has established a 24×7 control room for flood-affected citizens. Twenty-one Indian nationals from Tamil Nadu were rescued after flash floods in Nepal. The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is coordinating their safe return home. Another group of pilgrims stranded in China is also receiving assistance.

In response to the severe flood situation in Nepal, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has established a 24×7 Special Control Room in New Delhi. The facility has been set up to coordinate rescue, relief, and tracking efforts for Indian nationals affected by the disaster. The ministry is maintaining round-the-clock coordination through dedicated emergency contact lines operated by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu (+977 985 131 6807, +977 970 910 7500, +977 981 032 6117) and the Embassy of India in Beijing (+86 18514284905). Additionally, the MEA has shared direct emergency contact details for local Nepalese administration and security agencies, including the Tourist Police, Nepal Army, NDRRMA, and district authorities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Chitwan, to assist stranded individuals.



Additionally, to support residents stranded or facing hardship due to catastrophic flash flooding in Nepal, the Odisha government has established a 24×7 control room and helpdesk at Odisha Niwas in New Delhi.
