Dammam-Delhi Air India flight faces bomb threat
Synopsis
An Air India flight from Dammam to Delhi made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad. A crew member discovered a tissue paper with the word "bomb" written on it. The aircraft landed safely at Ahmedabad Airport with thirty-two passengers onboard. All passengers were safely deplaned at Terminal 2 of the airport. Officials confirmed the aircraft is currently undergoing a thorough inspection.
A Dammam-Delhi Air India flight made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport after a tissue paper with the word "bomb" written on it was found by a crew member in the lavatory on Monday, according to Ahmedabad Police officials.
The flight had 32 passengers onboard and all of them were safely deboarded at Terminal 2.
The aircraft is being checked, officials said.
Dammam is the capital and largest city of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
