CM wants officials to expedite land acquisition for Musi project

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed the officials of the Municipal Administration and other departments to expeditiously complete acquisition of land for the Musi rejuvenation project.
The Chief Minister favoured a comprehensive land pooling policy to be developed. The policy should focus on the acquisition of land falling under full tank level, buffer zones and assignment lands.
The Chief Minister made the suggestion during a meeting with senior officials to review the status of works pertaining to the prestigious project. He wanted steps to be taken to avoid legal complications during the land acquisition. The officials were also instructed to invite tenders for Phase 2 of the Musi Project at the earliest.
Mr. Revanth Reddy directed the municipal commissioners to focus on securing low-interest loans for the projects and also review the progress relating to TDRs (Transferable Development Rights) every week. Tenders for the Manchirevula Omkareshwara Swamy Temple and publicity to the Kothwalguda Bird Park were discussed in the meeting.
