Jayanti S. Ravi, Secretary of the Auroville Foundation and Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Gujarat, called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday.

According to a press note, Ms. Ravi formally extended an invitation to the President to grace the upcoming Auroville Literature Festival (Auroville Litfest).

During the meeting, Ms. Ravi briefed the President on the ongoing initiatives and development projects in Auroville. She presented a comprehensive update on the township’s current progress, highlighting recent advancements in urban planning, sustainable development, educational programmes, and community welfare aligned with Auroville’s founding vision.

The discussions focused on efforts to advance Auroville’s founding vision through sustainable growth, innovation and cultural synthesis within the international township.
