Mumbai:- In a recent government order, IAS officer Mr. Chahal has been transferred and appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) in the Home Department of the Maharashtra government. This position, which has been lying vacant, will now be taken over by Mr. Chahal following this appointment.

As per the official directive, Mr. Chahal is required to hand over his current responsibilities to another officer, as advised by the Honorable Chief Minister, and take charge of his new role from Mrs. Sujata Saunik, IAS, without any delay.

Additionally, Mr. Chahal has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the post of Additional Chief Secretary (Mining), in the Department of Industry, Energy, and Mining. This additional charge will remain with him until further orders are issued by the government.

The order was signed by V. Radha, Additional Chief Secretary (Services), marking another significant reshuffle within the state’s bureaucratic structure.
