The initiative to provide district council employees with a “Salary Account Package” was introduced after careful consideration. Among the proposals received, Union Bank of India’s offer stood out as the most advantageous option for employees, which led to an agreement between the District Council and the bank.

On 3rd October 2023, the Palghar District Council organized a training session at the Jananayak Birsa Munda Auditorium to enlighten its officials and employees about the benefits of this new agreement.

The agreement, spearheaded by District Council Chairman Prakash Nikam, was approved in the presence of key officials, including Rohini Shelar (Chairperson of Women and Child Welfare Committee), Manisha Nimkar (Chairperson of Social Welfare Committee), Sandesh Dhon (Chairperson of Construction and Health Committee), Dhanraj Pandey (Chief Accountant and Financial Officer), Yogendra Singh (Chief Regional Manager of Union Bank of India), Rahul Juyal (Regional Head of Borivali Region), and Sawan Shiv (Deputy Regional Head).

All attendees were provided with brochures detailing Union Bank’s plan options. During the program, bank representatives explained the benefits thoroughly, ensuring that every employee understood the comprehensive coverage being offered.

Under this Union Bank package, employees will receive coverage up to ₹1 crore for personal accident insurance (including total and partial disability coverage), ₹15 lakh for Rupay Card Insurance, up to ₹3 lakh for health insurance, and a cashless mediclaim policy up to ₹30 lakh. Moreover, they will also enjoy complete banking services with zero charges. This service will also be extended to retired employees, making it a holistic financial offering.

For further details, the bank’s authorities will be available to address any inquiries and provide necessary information.

This initiative was well-received by all district council officials and employees present at the training session, as it aims to significantly enhance their financial security and well-being.
