Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Election Department has organized various competitions on the occasion of ‘National Voter’s Day’ on 25th January. In this, through the education department, three competitions such as essay, oratory, painting have been organized for the students of class 8th to 10th.
There is a limit of 1000 words for the essay competition. Contestants – (1) I will exercise my voting right because …, (2) Sohala Lokshahi’s Awakening of Suffrage ) Should the right to vote be enforced, (6) the way of the disenfranchised, the right to vote, (7) the apathy of urban voters – causes and remedies, (8) the price of ink on a finger can present their essays on one of these 8 topics.
Thus for the oratory competition – (1) The first step of competent democracy – Voter registration…, (2) How will I contest the election for the post of class head, (3) I want to be a corporator / sarpanch, (4) If I become a corporator / sarpanch, (5) If I become an MLA, (6) I should be an MLA, (7) If I become an MP, (8) I should be an MP, (9) The price of ink on a finger, (10) I have the right to vote Because, (11) 18th year responsibility – the contestant has to make a 3 to 4 minute video on one of these 11 topics.
Picture on one of the 4 topics – A4 size paper for drawing competition – (1) Voter registration appeal to those who have completed 18 years of age, (2) Voter registration appeal to women, (3) Importance of voting rights of persons with disabilities, (4) Importance of third party voting rights and appeal. To be removed and submitted.
A letter has been sent to all the schools by the Department of Education urging the school management to encourage them to participate in these competitions with maximum number of students. It has been suggested to submit the e-mail id nmmceducom2022@gmail.com by Friday 21st January 2022.
The winners of this competition will be awarded Rs. 5 thousand, second number Rs. 4 thousand and third number Rs. 3,000 and Incentive prizes of Rs. 1,000 will be provided.
