Mira-Bhayander (7 May): Commissioner of Mira Bhayander Shri. Dilip Dhole has ordered Adani and Tata Power to move the power lines through gutters and nallas before May 30. Heavy rains cause water to seep into the ground floor of low-lying buildings. If the electricity meter of such a place goes under water, there is a possibility of short circuit. Therefore, the commissioner also instructed to find such buildings and move the electricity meters of these buildings to a higher height.
In this disaster management meeting chaired by Municipal Commissioner Shri. Dilip Dhole, Deputy Commissioner Shri. Sambhaji Panpatte, City Engineer Shri. Shivaji Barkund, Executive Engineer Shri. Suresh Wakode, Disaster Management Officer Mrs. Manasvi Mhatre, Chief Fire Officer Shri. Prakash Borade, Mira Bhayander Assistant Commissioner of Police Shri. V.S. Sanap, Representatives of Mahanagar Gas, MTNL, National Highway Authority of India, Mira Bhayander Tehsildar, Tata Power, Adani Electricity were present.
The commissioner has given a deadline of May 30 to the department heads of transport department, Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation police officer, service channel company, Adani, Tata Power Electric, revenue department etc. to prepare in advance.
On important issues like keeping the traffic smooth during the monsoon season, choosing alternative routes during heavy rains, maintaining law and order in the city in case of emergency, Shri. Dhole gave instructions. Also, after May 15, no excavation will be allowed by the corporation except for urgent and repair work. It was also directed that the chambers should be cleaned before May 30 in places where there is a network of service channels.
He also said that the revenue department should ensure the responsibility of the officers and employees and ensure that there is no delay in taking complaints from the citizens in case of floods. Dhole mentioned this time.
