Navi Mumbai : In view of the rapidly increasing number of corona sufferers and the state of oxygen deficiency in the state, the Municipal Commissioner Shri. Abhijeet Bangar took a detailed look at the oxygen situation in the municipal area.
On this occasion, Additional Commissioner Mr. Dr. Sanjay Kakade, Medical Health Officer Dhanwanti Ghadge, Hospital Oxygen Management Nodal Officer Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manoj Mahale as well as Nodal Officers and Oxygen Suppliers of the three dedicated Covid Health Centers with Oxygen Beds facility of the Corporation were present.
At this time, the Commissioner got to know the current number of patients undergoing treatment on oxygen beds in the dedicated Covid Centers of the Corporation, got detailed information about the daily supply of oxygen and verified the possible supply of oxygen in the future and directed the concerned. At present the Corporation has adequate oxygen reserves and has 20 days of oxygen reserves for emergencies.
It is very important to keep a daily record of oxygen supply and regularly monitor it and refill it within the stipulated time and the Commissioner directed the concerned to keep a close watch on it. The commissioner also instructed to increase the number of oxygen cylinders in view of the increasing number of patients at present. The commissioner directed that along with the increase in cylinders, the process of setting up liquid tanks should also be expedited.
The commissioner also directed to ensure oxygen supply companies for the beds required for oxygen in the private hospitals in the municipal area and to make the list of these companies available to the private hospitals.
