Video shows blast of IED appx 40 – 45 in Pulwana, an attack that was averted by Police.
A white hyundai santro car with fake registration, when signalled to stop at the checkpost the car then accelerated. When the police opened fire, the driver first sped off, then abandoned the car and escaped, Car was later found a few kilometres away.
“A timely action of security forces averted a major tragedy. A suicide attacker jumped two checkpoints before leaving a vehicle behind. The attacker left behind the vehicle late on Wednesday night at Ayegund area of Rajpora, Pulwama”, said Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
A video clip shows a cloud of smoke with massive explosion as the car was later destroyed by a bomb disposal squad.
