Mumbai :– The Maharashtra State Government has issued an official resolution designating Guardian Ministers and Co-Guardian Ministers for districts across the state. This decision aims to ensure effective governance and accountability at the district level.
The appointments were made in accordance with prior notifications and resolutions issued by the General Administration Department. The designated ministers will be responsible for overseeing developmental activities, addressing public grievances, and ensuring coordination among departments within their respective districts.
Key Appointments:
- Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, has been assigned as the Guardian Minister of Gadchiroli.
- Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister, will serve as the Guardian Minister for Thane and Mumbai City.
- Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister, has been entrusted with Pune and Beed.
- Chandrashekhar Bawankule will oversee Nagpur and Amravati districts.
- Hasan Mushrif is the Guardian Minister for Osmanabad, while Chandrakant Patil takes charge of Sangli.
- Nitesh Rane will manage Sindhudurg, and Pankaja Munde will be responsible for Jalna.
Co-Guardian Ministers have also been appointed in certain districts to ensure better governance and support. Notably, Mangal Prabhat Lodha will serve as Co-Guardian Minister for Mumbai Suburban, alongside Ashish Shelar.
Objectives and Responsibilities:
The Guardian Ministers are tasked with:
- Supervising the implementation of government schemes and policies.
- Coordinating with local authorities to resolve district-level issues.
- Acting as a liaison between the state government and the districts.
