Mira-Bhayander ;- The Nationalist Congress Party (SP) led a significant protest today in Mira Bhayander, highlighting a severe toilet scam in the Ganesh Deval Nagar area. Under the leadership of District President Adv. Shri Vikram Tare Patil and Working President Shri Ghulam Nabi Farooqi, a large crowd, including local residents and party officials, gathered in front of the Municipal Corporation headquarters demanding immediate resolution of the toilet issues.
The demonstrators insisted that the municipal authorities solve the problem within four days. They warned that failure to do so would result in the NCP locking the municipal toilets or allowing the residents of Ganesh Deval Nagar to use the headquarters’ toilets. The protest highlighted the plight of the local poor, who have to wait in line for hours to use the toilets, causing significant hardship for women, the elderly, and children.
A delegation led by the NCP met with Additional Commissioner Aniket Manorikar of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation to discuss the issue and submit a memorandum. Commissioner Manorikar assured the delegation that a team would be sent for an immediate site inspection and promised a swift resolution, with updates to follow soon.
