Vasai-Virar:- The Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation currently supplies water from Pelhar, Usgaon, and Surya Dam. As the monsoon season has begun, the possibility of waterborne diseases cannot be ruled out. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, citizens are advised to filter and boil water before consumption during the rainy season.
The water supply from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (MMRDA) Surya 403 MLD scheme has been increased and is now being distributed through newly laid pipelines. As a result, there is a possibility that the water may appear murky for the next 10 to 15 days.
Citizens are requested to filter and boil water before drinking and to cooperate with the municipal corporation.
