Mumbai :- In a decision dated 14 February 2024, the Cabinet, led by Hon. The Cabinet, has announced significant amendments to the Guaranteed Progression Scheme for State Government Employees. The amendments aim to enhance the benefits provided under the Reformed Service to the employees, addressing concerns related to non-functional or similar higher pay structures.
- Revised In-Service Assured Progress Scheme (Effective from 01.10.2006):
According to the Finance Department’s Government Decision dated 01.04.2010, employees will now receive benefits under the Revised In-Service Assured Progress Scheme from 01.10.2006. Notably, this includes benefits without considering non-functional or similar higher pay structures granted to employees after the limited service period. The Cabinet has approved this improvement to promote fairness and equity. - Guaranteed Progress Scheme (Effective from 01.01.2016):
Building on the Government Decision dated 02.03.2019, the Cabinet has decided to implement a Guaranteed Progress Scheme with three distinct benefits (10:20:30) from 01.01.2016. Similar to the previous amendment, this scheme will not consider non-functional or similar higher pay structures given to employees after the restricted service period. The Cabinet has approved this decision to further enhance employee welfare and progression.
These amendments come with a financial impact, resulting in non-recurring expenditure of approximately Rs.22,79,09,116/- and an estimated annual recurring expense of around Rs.3,61,92,000/-. The government emphasizes the importance of these changes in fostering a more equitable and supportive work environment for State Government Employees.
