Mumbai :- In a bid to encourage young men and women in Maharashtra to embark on careers in defense services, the Maharashtra government has inaugurated pre-service education institutes for boys in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and for girls in Nashik.
Applications are now open for the 48th batch of boys from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the 2nd batch of girls from Nashik, set to commence in June 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Unmarried (Boy / Girl)
- Domicile of Maharashtra and specific districts in Karnataka (Bidar, Belagavi, and Karwar)
- Date of birth between January 22, 2007, and January 1, 2010
- Must be appearing for Secondary School (X) Examination in March/April/May 2024
- Eligible for admission to Class XI in June 2024
Physical Qualification:
Candidates must meet the physical criteria outlined by UPSC for NDA and INA, including a minimum height of 157 cm, weight of 43 kg, no night or color blindness, and specific chest measurements.
Written Test and Interview:
A written test, consisting of 600 multiple-choice questions in English, will be conducted on April 28, 2024. The test includes 150 questions in General Ability Test (GAT), covering Mathematics and General Knowledge. Correct answers earn 4 marks, while incorrect answers carry a penalty of 1 mark. Successful candidates will proceed to the interview stage.

An examination fee of Rs.450/- (Non-refundable) must be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Netbanking. Applications not adhering to the institution’s terms and conditions will be rejected, and exam fees will not be refunded.
