Palghar :- Dinesh Paradhi, a progressive farmer from Moh Khurd village in Vikramgad taluka, Palghar district, was recently honored by the Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Committee Chairperson, Sandeep Pawar, during a special ceremony held on October 31, 2023. The event took place at Paradhi’s farm, where he was recognized for his outstanding contributions to agriculture and his dedication to promoting innovative farming techniques.
Dinesh Paradhi has made significant strides in agriculture by cultivating 47 varieties of rice, 6 types of finger millet, 5 varieties of turmeric, and an assortment of other crops, all of which he has generously shared with fellow farmers in the district. Despite receiving only basic education, Paradhi has gone above and beyond by imparting knowledge and information directly to local farmers.
The honor ceremony, which took place in the presence of Charushila Pawar, Vikramgad Tehsildar, Manoj Borse, Panchayat Samiti member, and Praveen Sankhe, President of the Bharatiya Janata Kisan Morcha, was attended by various local leaders and farming experts. Nitya Prabhujee of Govardhan EcoVillage, Chandrakant Sawala, Chintaman Gond Haribhau Thakare, Subhash Batra, Pandurang Pagie, Shankar Mahale, and the district’s agricultural development officers were also present.
During the event, Sandeep Pawar, the Chairperson of the Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Committee of Palghar District Council, provided farmers with information about the council’s agricultural initiatives and guidance on implementing sustainable farming practices. Shankar Mahale explained the importance of organic farming, while Dinesh Paradhi shared insights into mixed and integrated farming practices, inspiring others to enhance productivity in their own fields.
Praveen Sankhe, who leads the Bharatiya Janata Party in Vikramgad, and Deepak Pawar, the President of the local BJP chapter, also attended to show their support for Paradhi’s exceptional work.
Pramod Rathod, the District Agriculture Development Officer, offered guidance to the attending farmers, emphasizing the importance of adopting the latest farming techniques to boost agricultural output.
