Navi Mumbai :– In a solemn ceremony held at the headquarters of the National Administrative Services, officials and employees, led by Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Mhasal, gathered to pay homage to the great freedom fighter, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. They also commemorated the former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi’s, death anniversary.
As part of the event, a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was unveiled, followed by floral tributes. This occasion saw the presence of various dignitaries, including Sharad Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of the Administrative Department, Sanjay Desai, City Engineer, and Satyawan Ubale, Chief Accountant. Dattatray Ghanvat, Deputy Commissioner of Education, Chitra Baviskar, Municipal Secretary, Sunil Lad, Executive Engineer, Abhay Jadhav, Legal Officer, Chandrakant Tayade, Rajendra Chaugule, and other officials and employees were also in attendance.
Notably, Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Mhasal presided over the event and was joined by officials and employees in taking a solemn oath to work towards realizing the vision of national unity as envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The commitment to contribute to the preservation of the nation’s security through Patel’s foresight and actions was reaffirmed.
Speaking at the event, Sharad Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of the Administrative Department, also took the National Unity Pledge, emphasizing the significance of working together to achieve the ideals of national unity.
Furthermore, in line with the government’s proclamation of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from October 30th to November 5th, employees and officials, led by Satyawan Ubale, Chief Accountant, took a collective oath to combat corruption and promote ethical governance.
The observance of National Unity Day and Vigilance Awareness Week not only pays homage to the great leaders who have shaped India’s history but also underscores the commitment of government officials and employees to uphold the principles of unity, integrity, and transparency in their service to the nation.
