A New York grandmother, who went missing almost two weeks ago during a visit to a longtime friend in Las Vegas, has been discovered deceased near Harry Reid International Airport, sources have confirmed to Channel 13.

Alisa Goods, 63, went missing on August 8 after departing from the residence of a close friend to engage in shopping. Her remains were located early Thursday morning in proximity to Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport.

Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene around 1:45 a.m. following the discovery of a body.

Goods were last reported to have arrived at CVS located near Paradise Road and east Harmon Avenue. Her family dedicated almost two weeks to figuring out her whereabouts after she departed from the store.

The circumstances surrounding how Goods arrived at the airport or the cause of her death remain uncertain.

Strange bitcoin messages sent from Goods' phone

Shortly after Goods went missing, her family reported that someone started replying from her phone, soliciting funds.

The messages later evolved to include demands for Bitcoin.

Goods' niece, Alana Calloway, had expressed her immediate doubts, believing that the individual sending the messages was not her aunt.

“Our hearts are broken. We were notified that my aunt was found—unfortunately, not the way we wanted her to be. This is an unimaginable time. Words cannot describe the pain our family is experiencing right now,” her niece Alana Calloway said in a statement, as per Channel 13.

“We just want to thank the public for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers. We also want to thank the media for helping bring attention to this situation. This hurts so deeply. We are still trying to learn the details surrounding her death. We ask for continued prayers and privacy as we grieve.”
