Traitors 2: Parul Gulati reacts as Krystle Dsouza, Shahneel accuse her of cheating, bribery

By Sohail Khan 24 August 2026, 12:14 pm

Filmmaker Karan Johar-hosted Traitors Season 2 has stirred quite a discussion on social media lately. On Sunday, one of the contestants from the show, cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister Shahneel Gill, posted a video accusing Parul Gulati of paying a crew member to leak crucial information about the traitors on the show. Apparently, Parul used this information to evict Harman Singha and later target Krystle Dsouza, who were indeed the Traitors. Other than Shahneel, even Rida Tharana, Krystle, and Prish have shared videos backing these allegations. Parul also reacted to their videos, calling it a digital witch-hunt.

Accusations against Parul Gulati over rigging The Traitors 2

Leveling serious allegations against Parul Gulati, her fellow contestant Shahneel Gill posted a video on Instagram and said, “Apparently, there has been match-fixing on The Traitors. Every contestant is assigned a shadow by the production. A person who takes care of everything for you, day and night. One innocent’s shadow was being paid to leak information from inside the game to that particular innocent, which explains a lot.

Hinting at Parul, she said, “Every morning, she had a gut feeling that someone was a traitor. Where did this gut feeling come from? Every time it was correct. We genuinely thought that we were witnessing some crazy sixth sense intuition, turns out the gut had a source. Imagine, the traitors are the only ones who are playing a fair game. It’s unfair for other innocents who honestly played the game and were trying to unmask the traitors; so sad. This is not the fault of the creators, makers, or backend team; none of them had anything to do with this. You cannot control the choices that someone makes once they are in the game.”

Krystle Dsouza also posted a video slamming Parul and said, “So it turns out that a gut feeling with no valid reasons could be foul play. I am shocked, furious, and my blood is boiling. It is unfair to the rest of the 20 contestants, the innocents who have put their minds to the game; everyone’s game has been spoilt because of one contestant, and that is so unfair. The makers have made the show with so much integrity; everything is kept a secret, and then to find out that a shadow and a contestant were discussing who the traitor is, I cannot understand this. Based on a gut feeling, how can you put your business or life at stake?”

Krystle, who was outed as a traitor by Parul, said, “I am shocked, disheartened, and disappointed. I was wondering that day; I had not even reached the breakfast table, and she had declared that I was a traitor. I asked her for her reasons, and she fumbled. At the table (circle of shaq), it didn’t make sense. She had to make up points. I know the makers would also be disheartened; it’s so sad for them. They make the show with so much integrity and are so secretive.”

Rida Tharana posted a video on her Instagram story and said, “Remember who was talking about betrayal without knowing my side of the story, and who’s gone on the show and betrayed everybody. I am shook because I had to collect points and shut my mouth from day one to catch a traitor, and we have someone who selects information firsthand and then comes up and says she has a gut feeling. No, that’s a cheater’s feeling.”

Parul Gulati reacts to the accusations

Soon after these videos surfaced on social media, Parul Gulati also put up a post and wrote, “This is a circle of shaq all over and guess what, I am INNOCENT, AGAIN!” In the caption, Parul called these accusations a “digital witch-hunt.” While the makers are yet to issue an official statement, more details on the matter are yet to unfold. On the show, Parul Gulati had claimed that her gut feeling told her that Harman Singha was the traitor, and she managed to convince everyone to vote him out. The second time she accused another traitor, Krystle Dsouza, she failed to influence the people at the table, and in turn she was voted out.

Social media influencer Prish also commented on the issue and said, “Everyone who is saying that Shahneel and Krystle are doing this for fame, that’s stupid. They are still in the show, while that innocent is out. How can they be insecure? Please don’t bring up dumb points; rewatch the show and listen to what she says. There were no points, which is stupid. I can agree that a gut feeling can be right once; you still can’t be 110 percent sure. If one knows who the traitor is, why would they worry?”

Why is secrecy on The Traitors so important?

In an exclusive conversation with SCREEN, Harman Singha spoke about the strict contracts and protocols on the show. He said that keeping the mystery is very important for the game. “The contract for The Traitors is scary. Once you are on the shoot, there are around 300-400 people, including the 21 contestants. If one of them also leaks the secret, the game will be over. The way the show is shot is unbelievable. The hotel is converted into secret tunnels and has hidden cameras; the contestants have no idea. There is a different world for the innocents; the traitors are taken out of their rooms at night, their rooms are separate from the rest, and they keep rotating. When they take you to the room from the set, it’s one way, and they take different routes so that no one sees you. The contract is very dangerous; we were told that the game will only work if we maintain secrecy. The crew has to take an oath in real life. I didn’t tell my parents or even Rannvijay that I was the traitor until the show was telecast.”
