Third leg of seaside festival held in Vizag

Sea Soul Sandadi, a monthly seaside gathering that blends music, fashion, and homegrown commerce, held its third edition at MGM Lawns in the city on Sunday, drawing families and pet owners, with organisers pressing ahead despite fears of rain.
The event, conceived as a one-Sunday-a-month concept, featured performances by Layara Dance Academy, rap performances by Vishal and Co., a battle of bands between Revelations and Band of Raga Rasa, and a fashion showcase by Vastranova, a student fashion team. About 75 stalls run by homegrown food and lifestyle brands lined the venue alongside curated shopping and pet-friendly spaces.
“Sea Soul Sandadi is a concept like a seaside festival vibe that we wanted to bring to the people of Vizag,” said Harshavardhan, founder of the festival, which began in May. He said the event was designed to give Sunday outings in the city a communal, family-oriented character.
Laya Sampathy, founder of Layara Studio, described the experience as “a wonderful opportunity” that reflected the city’s growing appetite for community events. Sheetal Dasyam of the homegrown brand Party Kites said such platforms helped small businesses “understand the market” and build direct connections with customers. Rohith, a fourth-year B.Tech student at Andhra University who attended with his Siberian husky, Sonu, welcomed the festival’s pet-friendly approach.
