Tamil Nadu Health Minister K.G. Arunraj on Tuesday (August 25, 2026) told the Assembly that the State government was taking steps to distribute Emicizumab to patients with Haemophilia A.

Responding to a calling-attention motion moved by M.S. Ravi, who wanted the government to distribute the medicine free of cost to patients, the Minister said Emicizumab was used to treat Haemophilia A patients with Factor VIII inhibitor antibodies.

“It has not been included in the National Health Mission (NHM) essential medicines list. However, the government is taking steps to distribute the medicine to patients,” the Minister said.
