Amaravati will be developed into a knowledge hub, with quantum computing services expected to become operational in the capital from January, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana said on Tuesday.

Mr. Narayana inspected the construction of the quantum computing building in Amaravati and reviewed the progress of the works.

He said that the building was expected to be ready by the end of December.

The Minister said the quantum computing facility was being developed using German technology and would add a new dimension to Amaravati’s emerging knowledge ecosystem.

“As Hyderabad has developed into an IT hub, Amaravati is expected to witness a similar growth in quantum computing,” he said.

Amaravati is being developed as a knowledge hub with advanced technology and modern infrastructure. The commencement of quantum computing services from January would be an important step towards strengthening the capital’s technology-oriented development, the Minister said.

He also attributed the growing presence of Telugu people in the global IT sector to the foresight of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said the Chief Minister’s vision had helped Telugu people make significant strides in the information technology sector across the world.
