NIA searches five locations in cyber terror case

The NIA on Monday conducted searches at five locations across five states in connection with the ongoing investigation into a cyber terrorism case registered in Gujarat.
The raids were carried out in Junnar in Pune, Maharashtra; Nadiad in Kheda, Gujarat; Ramagundam in Karimnagar, Telangana; Gopalganj in Bihar; and Delhi. They were in connection with a case registered on June 25, 2025, a NIA spokesperson said.
The accused had attempted a Distributed Denial of Service attack against 54 websites of Government of India entities during the time of Operation Sindoor last year. A DDoS attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt normal traffic to a server, service or network by flooding it with massive illegitimate Internet traffic from compromised sources.
