The Maharashtra CET Cell announced the third CAP allotment list for MBA/MMS admissions 2026-27 on Monday, offering seats to 4,454 students. Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell on Monday announced the third allotment list for admissions to MBA/MMS courses for the academic year 2026-27, with 4,454 students being offered seats across management institutes in the state.

Over 12,800 students submit preferences for third CAP admission round

A total of 12,817 students had submitted their college preferences for the third Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round. Of these, 4,454 students have been allotted seats in colleges according to their preference order.

As many as 4,714 students have been allotted one of the colleges among their first six preferences. These admissions have been marked as “Auto Freeze”, making it mandatory for the students to accept the allotted college. Students who reject an Auto Freeze allotment will not be eligible to participate in the fourth CAP round and will instead have to participate in the subsequent institutional round.

Third CAP round conducted for over 20,000 available MBA MMS seats

A total of 20,869 seats were available for the third round. The CET Cell considered the preferences submitted by the 12,817 students within the stipulated deadline while preparing the third CAP allotment list.

For MBA/MMS admissions, a total of 58,153 seats were available across the state this year. Of these, 31,537 students secured admission in the first and second CAP rounds, while 5,747 students secured admission through betterment. For the third round, 20,869 seats were available.

Students allotted colleges in the third round will have to report to their respective institutes between August 25 and August 27, submit the required documents and pay the prescribed fees to confirm their admission.

The CET Cell will announce the provisional vacant seats for the fourth CAP round on August 28.
