Actor Kartik Aaryan, who recently suffered a knee injury while shooting an action sequence for Kabir Khan’s upcoming sports drama, has undergone surgery and is now recovering at home. The actor is expected to resume shooting soon.

Kartik underwent knee surgery at a hospital in Mumbai. His spokesperson said in a statement, “Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon.”

This is not the first time Kartik Aaryan has suffered a knee injury on a film set. In 2023, the actor injured his knee while shooting for Shehzada.

Kartik Aaryan-Kabir Khan collaboration

Following the success of Chandu Champion, his 2024 sports drama with Kabir Khan, Kartik is reuniting with the director for another sports drama. While Chandu Champion was a biopic based on the life of India’s first Paralympics gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, his next film is said to be inspired by real-life athlete Tajamul Islam. According to reports, in the movie, Kartik will play a kickboxing coach who trains a young girl from Kashmir.

The film also marks Kartik’s debut as a producer under his banner, Dopamine Studios, with Kabir co-producing it. The movie’s release date has yet to be announced.
